GREEN BELT UNDER THREAT FROM MASS HOUSING
Are you aware of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Study (SHLAA)?
Put simply, this study is a mass land grab, turning prime green belt into housing estates.
The council announced the first consultation process regarding the housing proposals ("Local plan options") on the 6th July 2015, it lasted 8 weeks and has now closed.
The 2nd consultation round is now open, comments can be made between Thursday 28th April 2016 and 5pm on the 13th June 2016.
What does it mean?
Quite simply 120 houses in 2017. Two areas of prime unspoilt Green Belt surrounding Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook will be made available for housing, seen in pink on the map below.
